Hundreds of people gathered in Santa Rosa to take part in the “Day Without Immigrants” protest seen in many other cities nationwide.
It is in protest of the Trump Administration’s immigration policies and mass deportations. About 400 people gathered at Old Courthouse Square in Santa Rosa on Monday morning, many of them waving the flags of Mexico and Argentina.
Immigrants and their allies also left their jobs and schools across Sonoma and Napa counties. That led to the closure of several businesses for the day.
