Forestville Residents Fed Up With Russian River Traffic

Residents near Mom’s Beach in Forestville are fed up with constant traffic. They say this is happening every summer as visitors flock to the Russian River.

People who live in the area known as Hacienda say they keep getting trapped by traffic and parked cars, and many even say they’re not able to do simple tasks like go to the grocery store or accept deliveries. There is also concern about potential emergency evacuations, since beach season overlaps with fire season.

Several government agencies like the CHP, Sonoma County Regional Parks and county Board of Supervisors say they’ve exhausted all available laws and resources that could tackle the problem.
