Sonoma County Officials Concerned About Fireworks Ahead of Fourth Of July

Officials across Sonoma County are concerned about fireworks.

That’s especially with warm, dry conditions expected this Fourth of July week. Rohnert Park Public Safety Chief Tim Mattos says people have already been hearing M80s go off in the city. He’s also concerned about more trouble this year, since the Fourth of July falls on a weekend. Last year, on this same week, Santa Rosa had three brush fires caused by illegal fireworks.

Fireworks are banned in most North Bay cities expect for Cloverdale and Lakeport.
