The Press Democrat reports the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office has identified the two individuals found dead in a Sonoma Valley apartment back in April as 66-year-old Valerie Helton and 62-year-old Gerald Dano, both from Sonoma.
Investigators have now confirmed the deaths, discovered by their landlord at their Tuscany Place apartment in El Verano, were the result of a murder-suicide involving a firearm. Deputies responded to the scene on April 19th and believe the deaths occurred several weeks prior.
