New Details Emerge About Drowning In Forestville

There are new details about a drowning in the Russian River in Forestville.

It happened on Sunday afternoon, just north of Steelhead Beach. Authorities say the man was sitting with a woman on a paddleboard. He tried to stand up, lost his balance and fell into the water. The man, who was not wearing a life jacket, was rescued but died at the scene.

This happened ten miles upstream from where a teen boy drowned in the river less than an hour earlier.
