Over 3,000 PG&E customers lost power Tuesday morning in Sebastopol after a semitrailer struck a tension wire behind Pacific Market.
The Press Democrat reports the collision shifted a utility pole and snapped electrical lines, spilling across Covert Lane around 10:45 a.m. and forcing road closures. First responders and PG&E crews rushed to the scene to secure the live wires and prioritize power restoration.
Local schools were temporarily impacted, though water and facilities remained functional throughout the brief disruption.
Power was fully restored to affected schools and the majority of customers shortly after 11:20 a.m.
