A 67-year-old motorcyclist remains hospitalized today following a serious crash in Santa Rosa on Sunday morning.
The Press Democrat reports emergency crews responded to the collision involving an SUV at Morgan and Third streets just before 10 a.m.
Police closed westbound traffic along Third Street for nearly two hours to conduct an on-scene investigation. The temporary closure near B Street created heavy congestion before officers fully reopened the roadway around noon.
The female rider suffered major injuries and was transported immediately to a local hospital, where she is recovering.
Santa Rosa police say the cause of the collision remains under active investigation.
