Sonoma County deputies have arrested two Santa Rosa residents following a seven-month investigation into a series of high-value copper thefts.
The case kicked off last August after thousands of dollars in metal was stripped from a site near Cotati, sparking a deep dive by investigators to track down the culprits.
Authorities eventually linked the stolen materials to a local property and arrested sixty-three-year-olds Michael Salido and Annette Evins on multiple charges.
While the pair has been cited and released for now, detectives are still working the case to see if they’re connected to other thefts in the area.
