In today’s episode, Letitia Hanke, CEO of ARS Roofing and Founder and Executive Director of The LIME Foundation opens the show with an appreciation of Labor Day and the wonderful time to spend with friends and family. Some call the following Tuesday a food coma day from all of the great BBQ the day before!
Letitia also shares tips on things to keep in mind when considering solar and roofing:
1 – Inspect Your Roof Before installing solar, make sure your roof still has many years of life left! ARS Roofing and Gutters normally charges $450 for this service, but if you mention Raise the Roof we will do the inspection at no charge! Call now at 707-584-5900.
2 – Check Your Warranty Installing solar could impact the warranty on your roof. Check with your roof installer and your solar company to make sure you are covered.
3 – Tax Incentives You may be eligible for tax incentives if you install your roof and solar together!
The NextGen Trades Academy has the next open cohort on November 9th and it is open to youth ages 16 to 24. If you are looking for someone eager to start a career in the trades, learn more at The LIME Foundation.
Can you BELIEVE it?! The 9th Annual Believe in the Dream Gala is on September 12th at the Graton Event Center! Grammy-winning artist Paul Cole will be the celebrity guest at the Believe in the Dream Gala, to perform and help raise funds for LIME Foundation programs. Letitia thanks supporters of The LIME Foundation, including Federated Indians of Graton Rancheria, ARS Roofing, 20/30 of Santa Rosa #50, Fondare Finish Construction, Somo Village, Comet Construction, and Redwood Credit Union.
In the second half of the show, Letitia chats with Cassius Camus of Northern Pacific Power Systems. Cassius is a mentor for students of the NextGen Trades Academy, and has been with Northern Pacific Power Systems for over 8 years. He loves to help home owners own their own power with solar. Often, a big power bill is the impetus for making the move to solar, but installing solar can be a big investment. There are great options for financing from Go Green, Redwood Credit Union, and SCEIP (Sonoma County Energy Independence Program.) And remember there is a 30-percent federal tax credit still available for installing roof and solar! Cassius shares his thoughts on leasing solar, energy efficiency, and electrification. You can email Cassius at ccamus@northernpacificpower.com
Tune in next month on Tuesday, October 1st at 12:30 for the next episode of Raise the Roof, featuring guest Tyla Brown of MCE with a deep dive into electrification and sustainability.
