Sonoma County Focus – Tour de Fuzz 2022

Host Michelle Marques talks with Rita Constantini, Executive Director, and Shaun Ralston, President of the Board of Law Enforcement Chaplaincy Services Sonoma County. Rita and Shaun invite you to attend Tour de Fuzz, a cycling event to raise funds for Sonoma County Chaplains, on Saturday, September 3rd. There are three different levels for riders of all skill levels, and you can even attend without joining in the cycling portion of the event! The Tour de Fuzz culminates in a big barbeque and party at the Luther Burbank Center for the Arts. Sign up and get your tickets today at tourdefuzz.org.

Law Enforcement Chaplains are there to assist law enforcement and be there to help people deal with the initial trauma of a deadly accident, a death, or some other kind of crisis situation. These volunteers are there during the hardest moments of someone’s life. Law Enforcement Chaplains are not affiliated with any religion, although they can offer spiritual support. Sonoma County has a little over 20 active chaplains right now, and there are about to be another 20 plus chaplains joining the organization in July, after they finish 6 months of training. The group is funded almost entirely by community donations. To learn more, visit sonomacountychaplains.org.
