Law Enforcement Chaplains are there to assist law enforcement and be there to help people deal with the initial trauma of a deadly accident, a death, or some other kind of crisis situation. These volunteers are there during the hardest moments of someone’s life. Law Enforcement Chaplains are not affiliated with any religion, although they can offer spiritual support. Sonoma County has a little over 20 active chaplains right now, and there are about to be another 20 plus chaplains joining the organization in July, after they finish 6 months of training.
