Family Friendly “Picture This!” SSU Symphony Concert

Bring the kids, bring the whole family to SSU Symphony’s “Picture This!” on March 3, starring Modest Mussorgsky’s Russian masterpiece “Pictures at an Exhibition” in a colorful re-orchestration by French composer Maurice Ravel. The Redwood Empire Chinese Assn. ushers in the Year of the Pig with its annual new year celebration Saturday, Feb. 23 at the Veterans Memorial Building, 1351 Maple Avenue in Santa Rosa. International musician Radim Zenkl lost his house and instruments in the Paradise fire. Hear him perform bluegrass, Irish, jazz, eastern European and more. He delights audiences with his many instruments, including mandolin, didgeridoo, flute, and more. Radim has played with Jerry Garcia, David Grisman, Chris Thile, Bela Fleck, and other top groups. He has been generous in playing at benefits over the years. Come and support him at 7pm on Thursday, February 21. Children welcome.
