Cynthia Shaw, the Regional Director for the Red Cross, is currently at the Oroville shelter and details what she is witnessing at the Red Cross camps there, how the organization is supporting the fire evacuees, and what donations are needed at this time:
Much like we experienced during the weeks and months following the October 2017 wildfires, they are currently inundated with supplies like clothing, food and water. Instead, they ask that you make a financial donation so the funds can be directed to what is needed on a moment’s notice. There are three ways to donate:
— Go to RedCross.org.
— Call 1-800-RED CROSS.
— Text the word REDCROSS to 90999 to make a $10 donation.
