Energy and gun control are major priorities for North Bay congressmen Jared Huffman and Mike Thompson. Both Democrats were sworn in yesterday, with Huffman set to serve his fourth term, and Thompson in his 20th year in Washington. Huffman of San Rafael plans to introduce legislation to revise the Keep It In The Ground Act he first drafted in 2016. Meanwhile, Thompson of St. Helena’s vows to introduce a measure requiring universal background checks for all firearm purchases.
