More Bay Area neighborhoods will soon have another high speed internet option. Santa Rosa-based Sonic announced plans yesterday to expand its gigabit fiber optic service to 19-additional locations, from Petaluma to Redwood City. Sonic also operates in Sacramento and Los Angeles, but this marks its single largest expansion in its 25-year history. It hopes to grow from the current 100-thousand customers to 150-thousand over the next two-years and it has ambitions to grow outside of California eventually.
