Cal Fire reports that Friday evening at 6:20pm, while working an active portion of the Kincade Fire near Pine Flat Road, they came across two residents who were attempting to evacuate. Fire activity intensified, and the firefighter was forced to deploy an emergency fire shelter to protect all 3 of them. All 3 sustained minor injuries, and were transported by ground ambulance to an area hospital for evaluation. The injuries are considered non-life threatening and all 3 are expected to survive.
