Marin County is mulling over spending money to help give more temporary shelter for homeless people to recover from the coronavirus. This morning, the Board of Supervisors will consider using nearly $1.5 million to buy more Motel 6 rooms in San Rafael. That Motel 6 already shelters people thanks to Project Roomkey, and if the board agrees to the funding, over 40 more rooms will be available for the homeless to quarantine in.
