Inmates at the Sonoma County Jail are in the midst of a hunger strike. The strike began on Wednesday according to the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office yesterday. A little over 90 inmates have told staff that they plan to strike for four days. The strike is being done to put the pressure on higher ups to bring back in-person visits with family and friends. Visitation has been cut off for more than a year at the jail because of the coronavirus pandemic.
