The ban of Styrofoam food containers and other polystyrene foam will be considered in Sonoma County. The Board of Supervisors will take a look at the proposed ordinance at a meeting today. The proposal would ban Styrofoam food containers and other non-recyclable material that is usually used in takeout packaging. There are six cities in Sonoma County that have already approved a similar type of ordinance. The county proposal will likely return for a decision in late August.
