Napa County is now in the yellow tier on the state’s coronavirus tier list. Alameda and Napa counties moved out of the orange tier after yesterday’s weekly health update. Now, the two counties will be allowed to expand indoor capacity for businesses like restaurants and gyms, and bars can reopen indoor service up to 25% capacity.

Meanwhile, California is less than a week away from getting rid of its color-coded tier system. When that happens, capacity and social distancing restrictions will be lifted. More than 99% of the state is currently in the least-restrictive Orange and Yellow tiers. This week, the CDC recognized California as one of two states with extremely low levels of community transmission. The other one was Vermont.
