The man who was killed when his motorhome crashed head on into a big rig north of Cloverdale has been identified. The Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office identified him as 36-year-old Jesse David Pearce of Sebastopol. They say Pearce was heading northbound on Highway 101 when he began drifting into the opposite lane just south of Frog Woman Rock. He collided with a semi truck killing himself and his pitbull mix and caused major injuries to the semi truck’s driver. The accident resulted in a major backup for hours Tuesday morning as CHP investigated.
