A traffic stop in Santa Rosa leads to the arrest of a suspected drug dealer. Late Saturday morning, officers conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle on the northbound off-ramp to Highway 101 at Yolanda Ave in Santa Rosa. During the stop, a police K-9 named Ace alerted officers to the presence of narcotics with a search of the vehicle turning up about 6 and half pounds of suspected cocaine. Officers would arrest the driver, Jose Gerardo Padilla-Calderon, and later searched his Southwest Santa Rosa home finding another 9 pounds of drugs along with other items indicative of major narcotics trafficking. Padilla-Calderon was arrested for possession for sale of methamphetamine and heroin and possession for sale/transportation of cocaine.
