A 175-unit housing development in Roseland has been approved. The Santa Rosa City Council voted to approve Casa Roseland in the middle of the Roseland Village Shopping Center. This would anchor a larger Tierra de Rosas development which would include streets, walkways, a public plaza and an open air market structure. Nonprofit regional developer MidPen Housing is hoping to start construction by late 2022. Meanwhile, businesses in the shopping center disapprove of the development saying it takes away parking spaces for their customers.
