Drought Town Hall for Southern Sonoma County Coming Wednesday Night

A town hall regarding Southern Sonoma County and the drought will be held Wednesday night. The Sonoma County Water Agency and Second District Supervisor David Rabbitt will be hosting the meeting, focusing on the drought and impacts to the Russian River Watershed and the 2nd supervisorial district. Speakers will include representatives from the Sonoma County Water Agency, the Sonoma County Agricultural Commissioner, City of Petaluma, National Weather Service and the Sonoma County Farm Bureau. In a press release, Supervisor Rabbitt said of his district that the “agricultural community is facing extremely hard choices and it is critical to find ways to support them through this drought.” The town hall is Wednesday at 5:30pm and a link can be found at SonomaWater.org or by clicking here.
