District attorneys in the greater Bay Area counties, including Sonoma County, have reached a settlement with Ulta Beauty. A lawsuit against the cosmetics company included over 30 district attorneys and city attorneys from across the state. According to the complaint, Ulta Beauty stores across the state often handled flammable and toxic materials and improperly disposed of them. As a part of the settlement, the company will be required to pay over $750-thousand in fines. They will also have to implement a compliance program to ensure they properly dispose of hazardous materials.
