Rain is expected to continue on and off this week through Saturday. The National Weather Service expects most of the precipitation to impact the higher elevations in the northwest part of Sonoma County, some areas could get as much as three inches. Braden Murdock of the National Weather Service says it will be a conveyor belt of systems.
“We’ll have our next system come through Tuesday night going into Wednesday and then another one Thursday night going into Friday morning,” said Murdock. “And then the weekend, Saturday, also offers another system and that’s where we’re starting to see more rain chances building up onto each other.  This is actually going to be a very wet ending to our October.”
Though the models keep fluctuating, higher coastal ranges should see two inches this week, and the interior areas should get about an inch of rain.
