Covid cases continue to decline in Sonoma County. The 7 day daily average of active cases is now down to 1,041, down from 3,033 at the height of this recent surge on September 14th. The county’s death toll is 402 — the two most recent deaths were reported on October 14th.

This comes as the indoor mask mandate in Sonoma County has been lifted for certain vaccinated groups. Health officials lifted the mandate yesterday for certain settings like college classes, offices, or religious gatherings if all people are vaccinated. The change only applies to groups of 100 people or fewer who meet regularly in a location that is not accessible to the public. As we reported on Wednesday, the employer, host or group organizer must make sure that all individuals are vaccinated, as well as maintain a list of people present and control access to the group.
