Eight stolen Porsches were recovered along with several vehicle parts after an arrest by Petaluma Police. Last week, officers got a tip that a suspect wanted in connection with grand theft charges of three classic Porsche sedans was coming into San Francisco on a cruise ship. The suspect, 71-year-old Wayne Krieger, was arrested by Petaluma Police with assistance from the U.S. Customs and Border Protection. An interview with Krieger lead to search warrants at two suspected “Chop Locations” in Santa Rosa and Novato. Additional searches happened at a third shop in San Francisco. Police recovered all three Porsches reported missing in 2019 along with five others and evidence of other possible stolen vehicles, vehicle parts, and fraudulent registration paperwork, as well as materials to counterfeit vehicle identification numbers.
