Lake Sonoma

Recent rains have improved water capacity at local reservoirs. Lake Sonoma is at 60 percent of its water supply capacity with about 147,000 acre feet of water. The smaller Lake Mendocino is at 66.7 percent of its target water supply with over 40 thousand acre feet. So far in this water year, which began October 1st, Santa Rosa has received 21.5 inches of rain which has already surpassed the previous two water years. Experts are still hoping for more rain to further increase water supplies and aid the environment.
