Sonoma County Inmates On Lockdown Due to Covid

Nearly 200 inmates at the Sonoma County jail are on lockdown. The inmates were placed on lockdown because of a coronavirus outbreak among staff and inmates according to officials yesterday. At least seven jail employees and 12 inmates have tested positive for the coronavirus since December 28th. At this point is it unclear how the virus was introduced to the jail.
