Bay Area Grocery Stores Suffer Supply Issues

Grocery stores across the Bay Area continue to struggle with supply chain issues that are leaving store shelves empty or nearly empty. Stores blame global supply issues on winter weather that is delaying shipments on the East Coast and record high COVID-19 infections for the lack of food on many store shelves. Officials with the National Grocers Association say they expect the supply chain problems to continue for the next few weeks, though they’ll be sporadic.
