A Sonoma County covid testing requirement is being delayed. Health Officer Dr. Sundari Mase has pushed back mandatory testing for first responders and school staff who haven’t received their booster COVID vaccine by one month. Twice-weekly testing was to begin on February 1st but, due to lack a of tests, that requirement will now begin on March 1st. This is provided that testing supplies will no longer be an issue. Unvaccinated school staff, volunteers and contractors will be required to wear surgical-grade masks or respirators on campuses.
