Sonoma County health officials say they are not ready to lift the indoor mask rule, despite a decline in COVID-19 cases. The county’s health officer told the Press Democrat the daily infection rate is lower than a few weeks ago. But, that number is still “relatively high” at 150 daily cases per 100-thousand people. Officials say most of January had roughly one-thousand cases a day due to the Omicron surge. The county’s limit on large gatherings will expire on Thursday.
