39 code violations have been found at the Gold Coin Motel in Santa Rosa. That’s the result of a city building inspection of the Motel planned to be converted in a 54-unit permanent supportive housing facility by St. Vincent de Paul. Violations included broken heaters, damaged doors and plumbing, electrical and ventilation issues. Some violations included tenants themselves such as smoking indoor or hanging clothes on a wall heater. Last month, the Santa Rosa planning department sent a 30 day notice to St. Vincent de Paul to fix the violations. St. Vincent de Paul tells the Press Democrat that they are correcting the violations.
