Several local school districts are about a week away from dropping their mask mandates. Petaluma City Schools and Cotati-Rohnert Park students can drop their masks next Monday. That’s three days after the statewide school mask mandate will be downgraded to a strong recommendation. Santa Rosa City Schools, the largest district in Sonoma County, will keep its mask mandate going until the school board decides on a date for dropping it. The board will meet and discuss the mandate on Wednesday, so we could know the date after then.
