Billionaire philanthropist Mackenzie Scott is donating $4.8-million to the Sonoma-Marin Boys and Girls Club. Scott, who is the ex-wife of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, announced the donation yesterday. It will partially fund a $17-million new Boys and Girls Club planned for the Roseland neighborhood in Santa Rosa. The cash will also contribute to the restoration of an aging club in Healdsburg. In all, Scott has donated a record $281-million to the Boys and Girls Clubs of America.
