The local owners of three bicycle shops in Sonoma County have sold the businesses to industry giant Specialized Bike Components. The Press Democrat reports that NorCal Bike Sport, Bike Peddler, and Trail House were all sold for an undisclosed amount of money. The change in ownership will not significantly change the stores – all will keep their names and store managers. However some bike brands will no longer be carried at the stores. Owner Glenn Fant told the PD it was an offer too good to refuse, saying, quote, “I mean, I’m 48, and now I’m retired.”
