Guns confiscated from Benjamin Tran and Elizabeth Gordon (Santa Rosa Police)

A man is behind bars on suspicion of using a 3D printer to make high-powered guns at his home in Santa Rosa. Benjamin Tran is also accused of printing parts and high-capacity magazines for those guns. He was arrested after police searched his home on Tuesday afternoon. Cops seized 13 guns, including ten he’s not allowed to have under California law. Police launched their investigation earlier this month, after finding out that Tran was importing illegal gun parts to use as molds. Several of his handguns are considered ghost guns because they don’t have serial numbers. During the search of the home, Tran’s girlfriend Elizabeth Gordon was also detained. Investigators found a loaded semi-automatic handgun in her purse. She was also arrested.
