Shooting Scene at Sunset Avenue and McMinn Avenue (Santa Rosa Police)
A juvenile has been arrested for a shooting in Southwest Santa Rosa. Police say the 16-year-old male teen shot another male teen, both from Santa Rosa, in a targeted incident and that they knew each other. The victim was shot twice in the torso and is currently in critical condition but expected to recover from his injuries. It is believed to be gang related. However, neither the suspect nor the victim live in the neighborhood where there shooting occurred, McMinn Avenue and Sunset Avenue. The suspect has been arrested for attempted murder and booked into the Juvenile Justice Center.
