Sonoma County now has a long-term restraining order against a man who threatened Supervisor James Gore. A judge says the man from Santa Rosa, Shelby Pryor, made a credible threat against Gore at a board meeting on April 19th. Pryor told Gore, among other things, quote, “I know how to use guns better than you.” Pryor must stay at least 100-yards away from Gore, his family members, their home, their vehicles, and schools for three years. He’s also not allowed to follow them nor look for information on where they live. And, he can’t buy or own guns and ammo for three years. But, Pryor will still be able to speak at supervisors’ meetings, and even address Gore directly at those meetings.
