Governor Newsom is ordering more COVID vaccines after health experts say children as young as six months are safe to vaccinate. The Pfizer and Moderna vaccines were approved by a review board yesterday as safe and effective for children as young as six months old. Experts say reactions among infants from six-to-12 months and children one-to-five years were consistent with reactions to other recommended vaccines. Newsom says nearly 400-thousand doses have been preordered and will be given to more than 8,500 sites throughout the state.
