Court proceedings are once again on hold in the case of four animal activists accused of stealing chickens from a poultry farm near Petaluma. Tuesday was supposed to be the day the four defendants resumed their preliminary hearing that started a year ago. But, it was delayed again because of several scheduling conflicts, and an illness. The court proceedings have been pushed to January 18th. The chickens were taken during demonstrations in 2018 and 2019. The defendants say their actions were justified because the chickens were being mistreated.
