Petaluma Police and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration want you to drive home safely this holiday season, especially tonight. Today is what some call “Blackout Wednesday,” which occurs on the eve of Thanksgiving. The unofficial event encourages binge drinking alcohol, and that has Petaluma Police issuing the reminder that Buzzed Driving is Drunk Driving. If you plan to drink, they encourage you to have a plan to get home safely. And if you see someone who may be driving drunk, call 911.
