Sonoma County’s COVID-19 infection rate is improving. On Wednesday, the daily case rate was eleven-point-eight per 100-thousand residents. A week ago, it was 16 new cases each day per 100-thousand residents. In a week, the test positivity rate has also dropped from eleven-point-six to nine-point-nine-percent. Flu numbers are getting better too. Sonoma County Health Officer Doctor Sundari Mase says flu hospitalizations peaked at 68 per day a month ago and are now at about 20 per day. The amount of Influenza-A detected in the county’s wastewater is down as well, after peaking in late November.
