Governor Gavin Newsom is set to survey more storm damage today. He’ll also assist with statewide response efforts after presenting his January Budget Proposal. The current budget was enacted six months ago on the belief the state had a massive surplus. But it now faces a projected 25-billion dollar deficit. Newsom will detail his plan to fix that. His proposal also includes a request for $202-million to spend on urban flood protection and levees.
