Sonoma County residents affected by flooding and other weather-related issues are applying for financial help through a new pilot program. More than 320 people have applied for the new cash assistance program launched by the county on Sunday. It supports residents who’ve suffered economic setbacks during the recent storms, including lost wages since they couldn’t get to work because roads or businesses were closed. It also covers the cost of purchasing fuel, water, and food to replace spoiled food following power outages. The county is supporting the program with about $300-thousand-dollars in emergency funding. Applications are being accepted at support centers in Healdsburg and Guerneville.
