Weapons and Ammo Found Inside Home of Suspected Monterey Park Shooter

Authorities in southern California say they found multiple weapons and ammunition at the home of the suspect accused of carrying out the mass shooting at a dance club in Monterey Park.  Los Angeles County Sheriff Robert Luna said the search of the suspect’s home indicated he manufactured homemade firearms. Items that were found include at least one rifle and loose ammunition.  The 72-year-old suspect also had a limited criminal history and was arrested for unlawful possession of a firearm decades ago.  After the deadly shooting, the suspect was found dead Sunday from a self-inflicted gunshot wound inside a white van after a standoff with police in Torrance.
