Sonoma County’s government employees are fighting for higher wages. About 100 unionized county employees held a rally on Tuesday. They want better pay, and want the county to make a stronger effort to hire more employees. The group claims the county has a high number of vacancies and turnover that’s effecting the delivery of public services. The rally was held outside the county administration building in Santa Rosa, during the weekly Board of Supervisors meeting. Members of the group then went inside to speak to the board about their concerns during the meeting’s public comment period.
