State Senator Bill Dodd from Napa is sharing his thoughts on the proposed state budget. Senator Dodd is a fan of the $297-billion dollar budget for 2023-24 fiscal year saying it reflects years of responsible budgeting. Dodd tells KSRO’s The Drive it covers a lot of his agenda.
“That’s public education, our public schools need more money, that’s clear,” said Dodd. “Wildfire prevention. We know that in our district, Sonoma County in particular, needs more and more fire prevention.”
The budget will be renegotiated in May between state leaders and then approved in mid-June.
