A 14-year-old girl is recovering from minor burns after fireworks were set off inside her apartment in southwest Santa Rosa. The incident happened last Thursday night, but was not announced by the Santa Rosa Fire Department until Monday. The girl says a friend lit a firework inside her room. There was no major damage to the room except for a few char marks. Firefighters also extinguished a pile of smoldering papers.
