Sonoma County Supervisors Will Look at Drought Status in April

With so much rain over the winter, is the drought over? That’s the question that the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors will examine in April nearly two years after they approved the emergency drought proclamation. Reservoirs are full with Lake Sonoma at 99 percent capacity and Lake Mendocino at 117 percent, both above average for this time of year. However, the Press Democrat reports that experts are hesitant to call the drought over as rainfall totals have slowed down significantly since the winter storms of December and January.
